There are over thirty separate routes around the town which are clearly way-marked. The Glyndwr’s Way and Severn Way National Trail surrounds Llanidloes with a number of sections to choose from. Along the trail are some of the finest landscape features including the Radnorshire Hills, the shore of the Clywedog Reservoir and heather clad Plynlimon.
Additionally the Across Wales Walk takes place every summer.
Hafren Forest / Source of the Severn
Hafren Forest sits on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, 7 miles west of the market town of Llanidloes. There are plenty of waterfalls along the river’s way through the forest. Hafren Forest covers 15 square miles where you can walk to the source of the River Severn - or choose from numerous walks including waterfalls. The 7 mile long Source of the Severn Trail leads through the forest to the Severn’s source on Pumlunom, the highest mountain in Mid Wales.
St Idloes Golf Club
St Idloes is a friendly and relaxed parkland golf club offering a 9 hole course, a 4 bay driving range and practice area. The club welcomes visitors and also has buggy’s for hire.
Llanidloes Angling Club
Llyn Clywedog is a 615 acre reservoir built on the head waters of the river Severn stocking 35,000 fish of the highest quality. Boats are available to hire at one of the premier trout fisheries in the UK.
Clywedog Sailing Club
From the luxurious views to the friendly atmosphere we offer sailing, canoeing, wind surfing, paddle boarding and more. Clywedog Sailing & Canoe Club is RYA affiliated and offers full racing programs as well as regular tuition and training. The club is recognized as the best Disability Centre in Wales.

Yamaha Off Road Experience
The Yamaha offroad experience is based a couple of miles from the park. Offering something for everyone, an offroad tryout for a complete novice to top level riders, with a vast variety of terrain to choose from.
Snowdonia National Park
The largest National Park in Wales, Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain in England and Wales, and the largest natural lake in Wales, as well as a wealth of picturesque villages like Betws y Coed and Beddgelert. Snowdonia is an area steeped in culture and local history.
Brecon Beacons National Park
With two National Trails and a National Park, this is fabulous place for walking. In its charming, lively market towns, outdoorsy types rub along with writers and artists It offers a year-round programme of cultural events.
Wales Rally GB is a stage rally motor sport event, taking place over 4 days of competition. We are lucky to host a ‘special stage’ on our door stop at Myherin and Sweet Lamb Hafren.
